Tuesday night game 4-28-09

Another great game. Ruben was our premier player tonight! We lost this game by 1 run. It was an exciting game.

I saw great improvement in our base running. There were several opportunities for them to show us they've improved. They did what they were suppose to do. Great job guys!! The next game is Saturday at 10:30, next pratice is on Monday from 6-7:15. Have a great week!

Game 4-25-09

What a great day for a baseball game. Thanks to everyone for bringing their fundraiser $. Tyler was the premier player for this game. He led off the game, hit the ball very well. At the end of the game, the kids chased him and dog piled him. He loved it!! He wanted to make sure I got a picture of it. That will explain the picture. Tyler was at the bottom!

The kids hit the ball well. We did have some running errors, but we were short a coach, so not entirely their fault. The fielding is getting better, we made some outs. I was proud of them. We kept the game close until the last "get all you can get" inning. They scored several runs to pull ahead in this last inning. We will go at it again on Tuesday, improving with each game. We will also have a practice Friday night at 7:15.

See you all Tuesday Night, 7:00pm.

4-21-09 game

What a great game! Hayes was the premier player for this game, and he had a great night. He hit 2 home runs!! Way to go Hayes:) The team as a whole did great with the bats. The final score was 23-21, we won this one. Yeah! Tonight we have a practice. We will continue to work on defense, situations and covering a base. Our next game is Saturday at 10:30am. Fundraisers are due prior to game time. I will turn them in before our game starts. We will see you tonight!!

Game 4-04-09

Another good game. The weather was perfect. We made some improvements in the field, but we will be working hard on that tonight during practice. Thank you to Seth's family for the snacks!

We hit the ball very well today, and the team we played made some incredible catches. I believe we had at least 3 fly balls, well hit, that were caught.
The kids are learning more about base running, like how to stay on the base when there is a fly ball. They are doing well with listening to the base coaches also.
Thanks to all who signed up to help with concession tomorrow night. Tonight we have a practice. See you there!

First game

Wow! You guys did great!! Every one of these kids scored atleast one time. Great job!

We played 4 complete innings in the time allowed. We scored only one run the first inning, but all 3 of the other innings, they did not get us out. The inning ended on the five run limit. Outstanding :) We did an excellent job fielding, and backing each other up. We need to work on covering a base and making sure our foot is on the base when we catch it. We will work on this during our next practice.

I want to mention Ruben. During practice, he has struggled with the bat, just didn't let go and take a hard swing. That all changed last night, he let go. Good job Ruben! All of the kids got on base and scored. So proud of you all! We'll see you Saturday morning.

3-24-09 Practice

We had another good practice. We had a 4 on 5 scrimage game. Everyone was able to hit several times and play in actual game like situations. We still have alot to work on, but they did great for their first time. Everyone is hitting the ball well! The defense was also fairly good. We are looking forward to our first game, this Saturday at 10:30, weather permitting. We will takes pictures at 9:50 the same morning, rain or shine. Thank you for getting your kids to practice and we'll see you Saturday!

Good Fun!

I was unable to attend practice last night, so no pictures. Sorry about that. Mike said practice was great.
All the kids were able to get time in the batting cage. They also practiced hitting using the "hit away" where the ball is attached to a pole and as they hit, the balls winds around the pole. When it unwinds, they hit it again. They also practiced hitting using the stick. I'll show a picture of it during an upcoming practice.
The kids practiced throwing to each other, using tennis balls, with gloves and without. They are doing a great job throwing! Thanks to all who came out.
Mike and I will not be at practice Saturday, but Mr. Bradley will be leading it for us. I hope you have a great practice, and we'll see you all next week!
